Landscape Design (Parks & Recreational Facilities)
Both formal and informal park designs can be created
which provide habitat for local wildlife, and create
a beautiful environment for the community. Enhancing
and restoring natural vegetation, hydrological cycles,
and wildlife habitats, provides added opportunities
for bird watching, entomology studies, and other activities
such as monitoring amphibian and butterfly populations.
Blue Bird nest box monitoring, and butterfly/snake hibernacula
construction. Land Architects can develop management
plans that may be implemented by park management crews,
or our staff.
Within the urban context, unique and often low-cost
design solutions can be found by incorporating salvaged
construction and plant materials from nearby sites into
the final landscape design. Found and donated materials
can be instrumental in creating beautiful spaces that
would otherwise be cost prohibitive. Land Architects
can organize and harness the talents of local volunteer
groups, who can assist in planting and construction
projects.
